Description
- The Permanent Administrator’s main objectives are:
- Organize the proper functioning of the Permanent Secretariat;
- Ensure the effectiveness of administrative assistance to the JTC;
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Master I or Master II) or equivalent in Economics, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Finance, Law or a related field.
- The written and oral command of one of the official languages of the states adjoining States of the JBP, namely English or French (indispensable).
Experience
General professional experience:
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in the public administration or top management of modern transit or interstate road transport companies.
Specific professional experience:
Technical expertise
- Have a good working knowledge of border control activities.
- Have the ability to prepare reports on various field activities.
- Experience in the management of a complex organizational unit requiring coordination of government interventions in a multilateral approach.
- Have the capacity to ensure the application of rules, policies and directives resulting from the consultation of the States.
Management skills
- Have proven skills in planning and organization;
- Know how to set clear objectives, identify priorities and mobilize (if necessary, adjust) resources to achieve them;
- Demonstrate good experience in the administrative and financial management of a structure using public, community or development partner funds;
Have proven skills in budgeting and meeting audit requirements.
